Dawn Reshen-Doty and Merrilee Warholak
Benay Enterprises

Benay proves knowledgeable, experienced, and affordable back-office administrative management and financial operational services to companies that want to focus on their core business operations and realize cost savings and greater efficiencies of routine yet critical financial and administrative operations. Benay's knowledgeable and experienced business management staff seek to provide the most attentive, intuitive, and proactive services to a wide range of clientele throughout the world.

Benay is based in Danbury, CT and has an office in Portland, ME. We are able to meet regularly with decision makers for larger companies throughout Maine but come up against resistance due to our home base not being in Maine.

The challenge question for Women Standing Together is:
As an experienced, established business "from away," how do we convince Maine-based companies of the value in working with us?

Dawn Reshen-Doty has been managing businesses for over 25 years and during that time has handled the financial affairs of over a dozen corporations, publishing houses, and individuals. She is also the founding partner and publisher of For Beginners, LLC, publisher of the For Beginners series, a graphic non-fiction book line.

Merrilee Warholak joined Benay Enterprises as an intern 20 years ago. Over the years, she has helped Benay expand in many directions as Foreign Rights Director, Royalty Accounts Director, and Director of Client Relations. She currently is Editorial Director at For Beginners, LLC and Director of Business Development and Client Relations in the Portland office.
