Come mix and mingle with our growing community of Women Standing Together members for our Fall Mixer! This members-only event features a fabulous speaker, appetizers, and a cash bar. What a great way to welcome the fall season!

Pat Gallant-Charette is a 67 year-old marathon swimmer from Westbrook. She started her marathon swim career at the age of 58 and has since set 11(!) world records in marathon swimming, including becoming the oldest woman to swim the English Channel in 2017. During her sixties, Pat was nominated four times as the World Open Water Simmer, Woman of the Year.

Pat’s work prior to retiring was in the field of nursing. She started as an LPN and then got her RN degree when she was 45. When she isn’t plowing through the water, Pat is a happily devoted grandmother.

Come to the mixer and meet this remarkable woman. Find out where she gets her motivation, how she has overcome the challenges that come with long distance swimming, and what inspires her.
